1. Who We Are

Fit Check (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by The Fit, LLC, a California limited liability company. You can contact us at privacy@afitcheck.com.

2. What We Collect

• Account information: email address, display name, and password (stored as a hashed value we cannot read).
• Body profile: measurements and photos you voluntarily upload to use features like virtual try-on.
• Clothing items: images, names, brands, categories, and links you add to your board.
• Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for debugging and security.
• AI-generated content: fit analysis reports and virtual try-on renders created when you use those features.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Fit Check service.
• To process your clothing and body data through AI features you explicitly activate.
• To send transactional emails (e.g., password reset) — we do not send marketing email without opt-in.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Fit Check:

• Railway — backend hosting and PostgreSQL database.
• Vercel — frontend hosting.
• Cloudflare R2 — image storage (S3-compatible object storage).
• Anthropic Claude — AI fit analysis (images sent to Anthropic API; subject to Anthropic's privacy policy).
• Fashn.ai — virtual try-on rendering (images sent to Fashn.ai; subject to their privacy policy).

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted within 30 days. You may cancel the deletion at any time during that window.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal data (available via “Export My Data” in your profile settings).
• Request deletion of your account and data (available via “Delete My Account” in your profile settings).
• Correct inaccurate data by updating your profile.
• Object to or restrict certain processing — contact us at privacy@afitcheck.com.

EU/EEA and UK residents have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California residents have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell personal data).

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices: passwords are hashed (bcrypt), connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS, and access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Fit Check is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at privacy@afitcheck.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Fit Check after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
